CCR- music video

1. How does y our product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent   social groups or issues?    The music video includes a storyline about people that are LGBTQ . It challenges gender norms and shows that you don’t just have to like y our opposite gender . It also shows that you can be whatever you want and there are no standards when it comes to the gender you want to be, or like. Therefore, in the video, the LGBTQ community as a whole is represented . The challenges they face as a community to be accepted are also represented.  Over all, the LGBTQ community faced acceptance challenges and the video  challenged it by showing all are accepted. Even as teenagers, acceptance can be hard as adolescents go through challenges. Relationships can also be a lot of pressure but it doesn’t need to be. Even with that, that video shows not to care what people think, and like whoever you choose no matter what people say. 2. How does y our product engage with audiences A

This is the second complete production of Kazmin and the girls, which went very smoothly. Not only was the video thought out and filmed effectively but the process was a lot of fun. Everyone had their part and contributed to the success and completion of the music video. I made sure all the necessary requirements were met along with a nice overall aesthetic to the video, and I hope this is recognized. I learned a lot during the process and grew from the last filming a lot as well. I know now that I can let everyone contribute and take part in the process. I also learned a few editing tips and filming styles that will definitely help me in the future. Although Kazmin and the girls seem perfect, believe it or not, we had some obstacles on the road as well. I know I'm not the only one, but sometimes it is easy to blur the line between fun time and work time especially when hanging out with your friends. However, I managed myself accordingly and mostly everything went well. This just

Done editing!!

Hi, it looks like this is the last blog for a bit. So in the editing process, there were still things to do after what I spoke about in the last blog. There were still a couple minor bloops in editing. While editing, i forgot a couple clips. I forgot to add the scene with Jenna and I fighting. This threw off the whole song and nothing matched up. When i added that part, i had to readjust the music completely. It was the part where it said “she’s going off about something that you said.” As well as “she doesn’t get your humor like i do.” That scene has sofia walking away, since I forgot it, that part make no sense in ordinance to the part of the song. When i put the song in, I also realized, it was a bad version of the song and it didn’t have some parts that would match up with our clips. Once i found the correct sound, I had to re import it into iMovie. After that, I had to speed up the part of Sofia and the girls cheerleading so it matched with that part of the song. I then had to add

Editing "you belong with me"

Hello there, I'm back yet again. Ok so, since my group finished filming, my group mates and I were able to start editing. Now, the filming process was a quite a doozy and took the whole day. The editing on the other hand wasn't that tricky, but still a little time consuming. To begin, Sofias computer was used because mine is not working at the moment. The sound is broken and I am not able to download iMovie. Since Sofia's computer was used, she had to download iMovie to edit. IMovie is the easiest application to use for video editing since it is user friendly and an Apple app. First, I uploaded the clips and didn't add any transitions. I then had to embed the song to match the clips. I searched for the "you belong with me" by Taylor Swift audio that would match the video. I embedded it into the application of iMovie and matched it up with the exact words in the video when any were said. It was tricky because the time when Jenna said, "find out what you

Hi, it's me back yet again. It was finally time for the big dance/cheering scene with Sofia, Sabrina, and Emelia. It was so difficult for those girlies to pick out their outfits. But finally, it was done and the big crew headed over to the school. The sun was going down at this point and we were all having fun but stressed about not catching daylight. Jenna had a couple bikes, a skateboard and two scooters to ride over to the park/school. The scooter were having some issues starting and they kept stopping so we had some delays. Sofia and Emelia ended up having to walk to the park unfortunately. Jenna and I got their first and we made some tik toks while waiting. We also planned the dance for the scene of cheering. Everyone had finally arrived at the school so we went to the baseball field. Luckily it was open and we didn't get kicked out the entire time, yay!! This scene was so long because Sofia, Amelia, and Sabrina had to practice the choreography of the dance because they ke

" You belong with me" production back in the works

Hi, I'm back again blogger. Let me pick up from where I left off. After I shot the over the shoulder shot of Sofia stalking Jenna's instagram page, It was time for Sofia's scene of listening to Jenna's music while she's getting ready. I would say this shot was a high angle. This next shot of Sofia watching Jenna making a song in the music room look quite a while to shoot. I was trying to get the shot so it could focus on Sofia creeping up on Jenna while you can't see Jenna. Next, it would be focused more on Jenna making music. That took about 10 takes because Sofia kept walking up to the door and either laughing or twitching a little lol. This was a tracking shot because I followed Sofia to the door as she watched Jenna. That was also a difficult part of this scene, but I got through it after about 5-10 minutes. Next, the shot transitioned to Jenna throwing her clothes out of her closet in frustration. This was a medium close up of Jenna's closet. Sofia fil

Finally in production!

Hello, welcome back! It was production day(s) in the group of Kaz and the girls. My group was finally able to take time out of our busy schedules to film and boy did it take a while. My group had invited a couple friends over to film with us as "extras."  It was me, Jenna, Kaz, Sofia, Sabrina, Jackson, Emelia, Nick, and Hunter. I got to Jenna's house after working on Saturday 12/11 and it was time to film! The first scene I shot was a pan of Jenna playing the guitar in her room to open the songs intro. Emelia brought a little Ukulele because no one could bring a guitar. It was perfect because it was super cute and it matched Jenna's character's vibes, which was hippy/nerdy. The next scene shot was of Jenna being "on the phone" with me, and the two of us are arguing. It took a while to film mine because it had to be the perfect angle because later the two shots will be edited to be a split scene for effect. Next, the group had to film at Jenna's old

Production Blog- Busy weeks

Hey, welcome back to Kaz and the girls! It's Savannah back at it again. So it has been quite a busy couple of weeks. So to start off with, my group couldn't film because we had Thanksgiving break. It was so much fun, the first weekend my 7 year old cousin was in a ballet recital. It was sleeping beauty and she was a town flower girl. It was the cutest thing ever, and she had so much fun. Later that day after the recital, my family went out to dinner at Smitty's. That restaurant is kind of like a BBQ and the food was amazing. When my family all sat down, my aunt told everyone to look at my cousin's shirt. She was wearing a shirt that said "big sister." So, my aunt is pregnant and I am so excited and happy for them. I've wanted another cousin for so long, and my little cousin is going to be the best big sister. A day after, my family had an early Thanksgiving dinner because some of them were going away for actual Thanksgiving. There was so much food; Turkey
