Editing "you belong with me"

Hello there, I'm back yet again. Ok so, since my group finished filming, my group mates and I were able to start editing. Now, the filming process was a quite a doozy and took the whole day. The editing on the other hand wasn't that tricky, but still a little time consuming. To begin, Sofias computer was used because mine is not working at the moment. The sound is broken and I am not able to download iMovie. Since Sofia's computer was used, she had to download iMovie to edit. IMovie is the easiest application to use for video editing since it is user friendly and an Apple app. First, I uploaded the clips and didn't add any transitions. I then had to embed the song to match the clips. I searched for the "you belong with me" by Taylor Swift audio that would match the video. I embedded it into the application of iMovie and matched it up with the exact words in the video when any were said. It was tricky because the time when Jenna said, "find out what you...

Research Blog T- Swifty

 Hey guys, Kazmin and girls back at it again with the film. Our song is You Belong To Me by Taylor Swift. The genre of the song is teenage love or romance. Taylor Swift is very known for her love songs and she has a lot. Conventions in this genre usually have a love interest, either between and boy and girl or a girl and girl or a girl and boy. For most of Taylor's songs the love interest is between  a boy and a girl, the girl being Taylor, and she is in love with the guy. For example in Love Story by Taylor Swift, there love between her and a guy she met at a ball. Also in this music video there is a lot of strong eye-contact and glaring between the lovers. The videos also includes either love interest's lip syncing with all their emotions. They usually seem frustrated at their feelings like they can't have what they want. Production Blog 2

Filming-  On Saturday, October 8th, i filmed with my group. Sofia provided the meeting place of the gym in her community. This is where my group ended up filming our whole video. I was the videographer, so i filmed all of the commercial. In the beginning I went outside so Sofia, Jenna, and Kaz could practice their dance segment for the commercial. Sofia, Kaz and Jenna kept going in different directions with their dance moves. Finally, after a couple times practicing the group was coordinated. Sofia, Jenna, and Kazmin all brought colorful and black workout clothing to change into from scene to scene. Everyone had some sort of issue in the beginning because I had been told my group couldn't be loud in the gym because it would disturb people.
