exciting editing

Editing continues today! As I said in the last blog my group and i had to edit the basic things. This included picking which ones we are going to use and then cropping the clips. Also it was important to add transitions. This blog will get into the fun and exciting editing. For the very first clip I put it in a special editing app, and put a filter on it that looked like we were filming a real youtube video. Next was importing the music that I chose from this copyright free website. I chose an audio called "psycho." This audio matched our video pretty well and it matched the horror theme. I had to import the audio and then take the picture away that came with it, so you can only hear the sound and not see any picture with it. To do this, I had to put the music underneath the video so you can't see a clip of the music , you can only hear the sound. The music when imported at first did not match our clips' theme's exactly. The clips also had to be cut up because the sound did not match up with the clips properly. Jenna had to cut some parts of the audio and make them overlap as well. This way, the best parts of the sound would repeat for a better, more fitting effect. For special effect, whenever the beat of the sound would drop, a black screen effect would be added just to give a chilling mood. In one of the clips when I was speaking, you could not hear me talk over the music. To edit this, my voice had to be adjusted to be louder and the background sound had to be muted. In one of the last clips where the door slammed and jenna was stuck, I added a cool sound effect. On a website I found a fire alarm sound effect, and imported it so when Kaz is seen clicking the button and then the lights turning off, the "alarm" was added for effect. Next blog, I will talk about adding the titles and some final editing.
