Getting to know Sav- Intro Blog

Hey, long time no see, It is Savannah Diaz back at blogging again. The commercial and music video was quite a journey, but the time spent was so much fun. I learned so much from that experience, and my group was the best to work with. Now, it's time for the final task and I can't lie, I am a little nervous, but I know It will be so much fun and so great. This class so far has been really fun, and has allowed me to expand on the subjects I am interested in. Ever since I can remember, I've loved the idea of the movie industry in Hollywood, California. I've loved the lights, cameras, and movies. I was excited for this class because I knew it would help me progress in film skills. I love the idea of how each camera angle has a meaning in the filming process. I also love how transformative filming can be in the aspect of how it can mirror many people's lives. Already, i have learned so much from media studies. It has definitely contributed to my interest in the film industry and media studies. I believe in the future I may want to be one of those people behind-the-scenes. Not quite the director, but maybe in editing and special effects. As I watch movies now being in this class, I can't watch it without saying, "oh that was a canted angle or high angle" or something like that. Not going to lie, It has kind of ruined watching movies, but in a positive way. This means I've learned a lot of vocabulary from the class and it will help me in my future endeavors. This next task coming up is really exciting to think about as I am brainstorming ideas already. The past tasks I feel were more like a test run to help build on knowledge. This task is the final task and I believe I am going to do really well because of what I have already learned. See you in the next blog!
