Movie convention research: Smile

Hey there blogger! I am so excited to be back and researching for this movie genre. My group chose horror which i would say is my favorite genre of movies. I feel like i like to scare myself and then complain about how scared i was in the end. I recently watched the movie Smile, twice actually. I absolutely freaked out when i watched it but at the same time it was super cool and extremely well made. They definitely accomplish the horror aspect and unsettling part of the genre. This movie specifically has many conventions that create a shock to the audience. The sounds and props i feel like are huge part of what makes Smile, Smile. Just in the opening of the movie it has such diegetic eerie sounds that are hair grabbing. They also use props such as knives, axes and guns. The costumes and makeup in the end really depict the horror in the movie. The girls group

 Blogger i am sad to inform you that Kaz and the girls have broken up. But... it is okay we're still friends we are just in different classes this year and it made more sense to do this with other people. I will miss them but i am excited to tell you about my new group i have picked. Now to tell you about my new group. This group consists of Brianna, Isabella, Lauren and I. First we have Brianna, who i have known since the first day of high school. She is on the most reliable people i have ever met. Brianna i know is going to contribute a lot to the group and i am so excited to work with her. Brianna also tells me she loves editing titles and design. Isabella or Isa as we call her is my next group member. I became close with Isa this year and I am so grateful to have because she is such a supportive friend and hype-women.  Hey guys, Kazmin and girls back at it again with the film. Our song is You Belong To Me by Taylor Swift. The genre of the song is teenage love or romance. Taylor Swift is very known for her love songs and she has a lot. Conventions in this genre usually have a love interest, either between and boy and girl or a girl and girl or a girl and boy. For most of Taylor's songs the love interest is between  a boy and a girl, the girl being Taylor, and she is in love with the guy. For example in Love Story by Taylor Swift, there love between her and a guy she met at a ball. Also in this music video there is a lot of strong eye-contact and glaring between the lovers. The videos also includes either love interest's lip syncing with all their emotions. They usually seem frustrated at their feelings like they can't have what they want.
