1.How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?

Our product uses technology and music conventions to show how air pods “transform you into your own world.” My group used a general person working out, jamming to music to show how impactful airpods really can be when you are doing physical activity. It represents the social group of people working out. My group also used workout clothes and a gym/gym equipment to show the group. An issue one may have is that they may feel unmotivated or embarrassed at the gym or exercising but airpods make it seem like you are the only person in the room.

2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?

The product uses technology and music as things that majority of people love to encourage them. It also is often used in an activity that a lot of people do, work out or go to the gym. The sound of the airpods gives a preview of what is to be expected if the airpods are in use. Also in the video, there is dancing with uplifting, fun music which shows how you will feel when using the airpods. It would be distributed on television and on social media. It is short and gets to the point so the audience will stay engaged.

3.How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

Before filming, I had known a good amount about filming but not so much on editing. Since I was the videographer for the commercial, I got to expand on my knowledge and learn new shots and angles to accomplish the results we wanted. In editing, I learned more about using iMovie.

    4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

My group used my iPhone to film which has a mode of recording called “cinematic” which was ideal for filming. My group also downloaded the iMovie software on a MacBook to edit majority of the video. An app called cap cut was also used to edit a certain clip where I had to add a graphic with animation. These apps were simple to use and all of us had previous knowledge about these apps. iMovie was also good to use for the music so we would have no copyright issues.
